This week’s Messy Mania is a keeper, for sure. Let’s start off with this danish word, which embodies all that is cosy and content.

Hygge, our word of the week, is an untranslatable word that has all but broken the internet this year. If you’re curious, feel free to venture on to the german language where the concept of gemütlichkeit creates a way to describe the ultimate feel good mood. Cosy contentment meets social gatherings, is definitely inspiring to me, a gal who has much to love about enjoying peaceful social settings. To top it all off, here goes a post about the intrigue of untranslatable words.

Now that the word of the day is out of the way, let’s move on to another interesting phenomenon. This twitter thread sums up what happens when you give the universe a chance. It has inspired a whole hashtag: #CatchingFlightsANDFeelings, which won’t ever happen for me because I can and do sleep everywhere. Anyway, another reminder that what you put into the universe will manifest, so let’s share positive thoughts my messy dears.

Moving on, as announced, I have rediscovered my sense of style! Quite minimalistic, it is very out there for me, including wide leg cropped pants and…clogs!? I’m scared, but excited, and ready to feel like a confident queen. No wonder I’m nervous! This is very powerful energy that I’m welcoming into my life. That being said, I’ve found a darling youtuber who embodies everything I love, although her style expression is a bit more mature than mine.

In other news, StumbleUpon has officially called it quits. The company is moving on to a new venture, called Mix. I’ll be honest, I didn’t use the site often, but it was a pretty nifty tool, and if it had continued to exist, then I would have started using it more often, to find bits for this weekly list. Ah well. Farewell SU, Hello Mix!

Wrapping up, I want to share a blog post of my own: Leisurely Becoming My Dream Girl. The love child of pent up energy, and a bout of inspiration, this post means a lot to me. It’s a reminder that I can create good heartfelt work, without having it planned in advance. Although you may have seen it already, I’ve updated the photo so go take another look!

Thank you for joining me on this journey through interesting links. Stay tuned for next Friday’s Messy Mania, where newer topics and undoubtedly cooler trends are rumored to make an appearance.

Marketing Student - Comfort-obsessed, plant-loving mess. Always trying. Continually coming to be.
